TRICKLE FILTERS

My LFS is recomending a trickle filter,overflow, with a proten skimmer for my new 75 gal. FO tank. Anyone have good or bad experinces with these??

there are pros and cons to theses... to start of with yes its good to have for a FO tank.. for a reef.. when you reach 2lbs of lr to a gallon.. you can remove the bio-balls from the trikle filter...
