Tridacna clams: Lighting needs

I was wondering what kinds of Tridacna clams people have kept under PC lights. I know that the derasa and Squamosa clams have lower light requirements but has anyone kept the maxima and crocea clams under pc lights?

I'm pretty sure all clams need metal halide lights.

Derasa, Squamosa, Hippopus and Gigas clams can be kept under strong VHO and PC lighting. IMO, crocea and maxima clams should not be kept under anything but MH.

I would never keep a clam under anything other than MH. Mine is under 2x96w PC and a 40w actinic. It is alive but not growing even when all my other sps and soft corals are.

I think that the lighting for clams may also depend on whether it was aquacultured or wild caught. the wild caught ones need stronger lighting requirements than aquacultured ones.
