Can you put a niger triger, a snow flake eel and a porcupine puffer all in the same tank?
I have a 55 gallon tank. I was wondering first if this tank is big enough for the three of them, and second if they can all be put in the same tank?

Yes they can all go together but someday as they get bigger you may need to upgrade your tank.

Make sure you can take good care of that cowfish. I heard it releases toxic or something and kills fish. I'm preety sure they can all fit , But A bigger tank would be batter :joy:

With the size of your tank one puffer only with other kind of fishes. Sure you can put a cow fish but remember in the future as they get bigger you may need to upgrade your tank to acommodate them.

i've ran a puffer and a niger together, they were fine...as for the eel...just make sure you have lotst of hiding spots....people on this site for some reason think that tanks need to be MASSIVE to hold fish.....i dont understand why...people for get if you feed the animals correctly and slowly they dawarf themselves...and stop growing. In my tank i have a niger trigger, a lionfish, a tang, a angel, and a cream angel, and a hawk fish, and my levels are PERFECT and have been for months, and my fish are extremely active....and extremely colorful

i run a eheim for a 66 gallon tank
a protein skimmer for a 55 gallon tank
and two maxi jet 1200's
in a 55 gallon tank
you should be more than fine with your items,..there all aggressive so they'll get along fine....

Jer4916 is giving inaccurate advise. The fish you listed will be fine while small in a 55, but saltwater fish do not grow to their environment and cannot be dwarfed by underfeeding. A few months of happy living doesn't mean anything as fish won't noticably grow much in so short a time frame. A trigger, puffer, eel, and cowfish all need bigger than 55 at their full size. True, they can take years to reach their full size, but all of the fish you listed get a foot long or bigger. 4 of those in a 55 at full size is just plain silly. They will not be happy fish and will likely die.
Jer4916, your fish must all be small, considering the ones you listed. As long as they are still alive, your slow feeding will not stunt their growth. I don't know what kind of lion fish or angels you have, hopefully they are dwarfs (not to be mistaken with forcefully dwarfing).

i have a cream angel who is about 4 inchs long, and i have a ..blue and white angel (forget the name) hes 5 inchs long, and my vlion is about 5 inchs long, and my trigger is about 3 inchs long, and my tang is about 4 inchs long....now my tank there fine, i am buying a 180 for all of them....but not any time soon, i have a couple years of them in the 55 and they'll be fine.....i know when i ran this many fish about 3 years ago...they all did just as well...so ....just depends on how you balance your tank

I was pointing out that long term they need a larger tank, which is what everyone else was saying. I didn't want you confusing phatcat by having him think a 55 is all he will ever need for the types of fish he listed. 180 is much more appropriate for the fish you have in your tank when they are their FULL SIZE. Which is what I stated earlier. If he wants a porcupine puffer a 55 won't work long. They sprout like weeds, I know because I have had one since it was 2 inches. Porcupine puffers are so adorable though, everyone should have one! :happyfish
