I currently have no cleanup crew at all in my 250Gal FO tank. Is there anything I can add--snails, stars, crabs, whatever--that my clown trigger won't eat? In the tank are:
1 hungry baby clown trigger (about 3.5-4")
1 panther grouper (5")
1 long-nose butterfly (or angel?)
8 damsels
2 clowns
5 yellow tangs
1 purple tang
1 little red/black fish guy who sits on rocks
1 red/purple striped fish, 2.5" long, I can't name
1 lyretail wrasse on the way
live rock
I think my substrate is CC--that is what it looks like--but I need to ask the fish guy who set it up
My trigger loves whole cockles in the shell. Are any inverts safe from him? My fish service guy who set the tank up seems pretty satisfied with the dizzying array of mucho-pricey filters and such in the 60 gal sump underneath. I got this all free through letting the Discovery Channel redecorate my living room, but I've been told I've got $5000 in equipment down there. So, is it okay not to have any live cleaners? Does the trigger make it a no-go?
