trigger and puffer?

I have a 90g f/o tank. I have a relatively small Niger trigger(2.5"). I am considering a porcupine puffer but as I have read several posts on here I get the feeling that this may not a wise choice. I have two green spotted and two figure 8 puffers in my tank now and they seem to be doing fine. By the way, the reason I have the puffers is a friend of a friend had them in a fresh water tank and they were killing his ciclids so he was going to flush them. I took them and acclimated them over to my salt tank figuring that was better than letting him flush them down the toilet. They seem to be doing great. They eat very well and so far everything is peaceful.

Hate to say it but with 4 Puffs now adding a 5th is just going to be a big problem down the road. The 4 you have can be kept in groups and that way they chase each other not the other fish. A pork tho is just a lot different in action then the F8 and spotted are. Sorry!

You have fresh water puffers in your saltwater tanks? WOW! I didn't know you could do that. I wouldn't try it, but its neat all the same.. Good luck with them, and Welcome to the board! Lisa

F8's;Spotted can be kept FW; brackish; or salt. Best kept full salt (.1019 or below) I have found over the years having had 6 of them along the way (including 2 baby F8's I have now switched from FW to salt (.1016).

Thanx for the info. Even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. I guess I'll stick to what I have for the time being. I am tempted to start another tank. :)

Hi BLUEBERRYBOOMER I see your from Michigan. What fish stores do you frequent? We seem to have to travel all over the place to find any good fish. We sometimes take road trips just to look for new fs.
