there are four triggers to choos from. i wanna know what you think about which species is the all around best
1. Bursa
2. Huma Picasso
3. Undulated
4. White tip.
All input would be great. tank mates would be two pink and blue golbies and 1 lawnmower blenny in a 125 gallon tank. fish only

My opinion, and that is all it is. I wouldn't put a fish like a goby or a blenny in with triggers, just my opinion. Triggers are too aggressive for those little cuties. They may be okay for a little while, but I wouldn't chance it. I would love to get those fish as well, however, we have 3 triggers, and I've seen what they do to anything you put in the tank, it ain't pretty.
There may be a couple of the very meek ones, like Bluethroat/jaw and a couple others, that may do okay. Stay away from the Bursa, Picasso, and Undy definitely. I am not sure what species the white tip is, if it is Melycthis(Pinktail and the like) I still wouldn't chance it, not with our Pinktail anyway.
Just my two cents, from a one year ametuer, but avid studier.........................Peace

No question about it. I couldn't understand why my honey would only put two or three fish in our 125. Now I know. If you aren't too attached to your other little fisheze, take them back and then get your triggers. Just don't let them get killed, that isn't right, in my opinion.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a tank with pretty corals, and inverts, and fisheze, but it just ain't gonna happen...................later, when money builds up, I'll get my reef tank...............I may just do a nano any way.
One of my other careers was managing two landscape/garden centers, I had a HUGE fresh water pond and waterfall with all types of flora and fisheze. What I wouldn't give to aquascape a saltwater tank. I have read, and studied, and can't wait to start my own little saltwater garden.
Back on subject.............Our Picasso was in with a Damsel, a Hawkfish, and a couple other fisheze, but he was only about 3". DO NOT put an Undy in with any less aggressive fish, which are basically none. You can get away with the others for a period of time....but.....e v e n t u a l l y.........BANG
, they are gone.
Good luck...........................Peace

I would not put any of those triggers with blennies or gobies either.

Most triggers are too aggressive to be with the fish you have. That being said, there are exceptions to every rule, and I'm sure someone here has done it. But in general triggers are aggressive, and become more so as they get older.
I've got a Humu trigger which is one of my all time favorite fish, and from what I'm told is one of the less aggressive triggers. Despite being "less aggressive" there are a bunch of people on this board that have had their humu go nuts and cap everyone in the tank.
I've never had an undy, but I hear that they are one of the most aggressive fish and should be kept alone.
You may have luck keeping a niger trigger with these fish. I have heard some claim that they have a reef safe niger.
So to sum it up... it all depends on the personality of the fish, but in your case I wouldnt try it with the current inhabitants.

Well, without even thnking about the blennies and gobies, that undulated will be too aggressive for anything.
