Trigger question

Is there anything that a Trigger wont eat? I had this nice peaceful tank, clowns, tangs, a butterfly, mandarine goby, snails, emerald crab, and hermits. Well my husband insisted on buying a Trigger (Huma Huma) we were gonna get him at *****, then the guy said he would eat everything we had in our tank that they are very mean fish. So we didnt get him. I sent my husband to the pet store (not *****) to pick up salt and frozen food cubes, and he comes back with a Trigger. I said I thought we couldnt put them in our tank? He said oh no, the guy at this pet store had them in with everything we have basically. So we put him in our tank, and I watched him chew apart our emerald crab, every morning our snails are upside down. Im assuming its from him. And our Emperor Angel turned up dead (I love that fish! I was heartbroken.), oh and also our mandarine goby, gone! Could that trigger have done all that damage?

I have a clown trigger, about 5-6". He will have to go soon (he came with the tank) because I want what I can't have as long as he is there: crabs, snails, starfish, etc. He is a bit of a butthead. He OWNS the food. The other fish only get to eat when he is done, or not looking, or I throw enough in that he can't get to it all at once. He has never actually hurt--yet--my two clowns, 5 yellow tangs, purple tang, flame angel, hawkfish, longnose butterfly, or damsels. My panther grouper is the only that will not clear a path for the trigger.
BTW, the trigger's favorite food in the world are whole cockles in-the-shell. They are little clams, closed up, that you drop in. He will work on it for hours sometimes. If I dropped a snail in there, it would be fast food lunch.

Sorry about the havoc the trigger created.
Surprised that he killed an emperor. My emperor is one of the top dogs in my tank (with three triggers).
I hope he settles down (so unlikely) or you resolve the problem another way soon.
