What is the footprint of the 100 gallon tank? A hippo tang needs at least a 6 foot long tank. They are very fast, open water swimmers.

I would say put the Niger in the tank. Make sure that it is smaller. I have a Niger with my Naso and Yellow Tail and they are all fine. Humus tend to be mean (like all triggers).
