trigger question

Can anyone tell me if I could have a female blue throat and a humu humu trigger in the same 55 gal tank? They would both be acclimated together and they are about the same size.

The first question you should ask yourself is "Is there enough room in the 55gal tank for both fish?"

Yeah, sorry but IMO neither fish should be in a 55 gallon tank....We see threads all the time on here saying "Why is my Huma killing everything in my 55?" Big, aggressive fish don't play well with others in small tanks.
