Yes, I have a clown trigger, picasso and niger trigger. The clown trigger keeps getting a little ick. Can a cleaner wrasse be kept with them and will the triggers let the wrasse do its work?
Well it is hit or miss....and most cleaner wrasse are doomed to die of starvation anyway. I strongly discourage their purchase.
What you really need to do is determine what the stress in the tank is that is causing the fish to come down with the ick. And unless that is about a 180 g tank or so, I reckon it might be the clown What other things do you have in there? How are your nitrates? pH good and constant? Diverse diet?
All water parimeters are fine, and they have a varied diet. Just wondering if anyone had any luck with the cleaner wrasse and triggers. I happen to have a cleaner wrasse in my reef tank, and it is doing fine so far, since January. Even eating nori.
