I heard a rumor that when you trim your out of control calurpa and and other seaweed type plants, the guts that ooze out is poisonous to fish. Is this true? I just trimmed right before a water change and all my fish died.. just some damsels and chromis, but still! all my levels seemed perfect! 0 nitrate/nitrite 0 ammonia, high ph because I have hard water... but the fish were fine for a month until i trimmed the hedges!!!!!!!
