tropical sea abalone

Has anyone ever kept a tropical sea abalone? i bought one yesterday, he crawled to the back of my tank and i havent seen him since! was wondering if anyone else has this happened to them and any useful facts

I have a couple that came as hitchhikers. You'll rarely see them. They're nocturnal and like to hide out in the smallest of rock crevices. Great little algae eaters. Watch hermits around them, especially if you have snail killing hermits like mine were, they've killed a few abalones on me.
