trout or redfish in aquariuma

is there any way legally i could put speckled trout or redfish in an aquarium, can they be bought at a fish store, them or any game fish?, id really liek to have a large set up with some speck and red fingerlings maybe blue crabs and mangroves or something, comething like a south louisiana biotope estuary type thing
anyone know where you can get game fish?????
i live in louisiana so i guess i could catch them and put them in a tank

It all depends on your states DNR regulations. All states are different, some say you can catch the fish and put them in a tank others say no. I know that some states require you to either get a permit to have the fish or you can buy the fish from people you have a permit. I don't know about Louisiana, but call your state DNR board and see what they say.

agreed and i gotta wonder how big of a tank you are considering. It would take a rather large tank for what you want, and mangroves are not going to be easy. They grow wella nd VERY fast. big tank and lots of pruning to keep them in check.
