Whats the diff between True and False Perc's? All the pic's and what I've seen at stores are Falsies. And are my 2 False Pers's retarded? I put them in 3 days ago and they stay in the back top corner facing nose down. Straight down.

true perculas have thicker black bands than the false perculas, also the black bands on the true perculas get larger as the fish grow, sometimes changing the fish to a black and white fish
IMO very ugly, i perfer the false perculas better because they dont change coloration like the true perculas do :happyfish

very normal, eventually they will make their way to the bottom corner! mine do the same thing, everything ive seen and read points to this as well, no big deal its just percs...

yeah give your percs time. They will adjust to the tank and will eventulaly swim around. Ussually about a week or so.

Ok I feel a lil better now. They did level out today and moved about 4 inches from the corner for a few. I have a small Fox Face in there with them. He moves around a little. But I don't think he has been more then a foot away from the same corner.
