True Perc????

I have just bought a 24 Gallon nano to put my true perc in. The reason I am taking him out of the 100 gallon is because all he does is hang out at the surface of the tank. Not sure if its because of the tangs, or if the current is to strong, or what.
But I just read in another forum that they said they can host anything. Including a return line from my filter? Where he hangs out at all the time.
Wondering if he is hosting the return line???

To answer your question, yes they can host almost anything. They are territorial and all clowns have the potential to be mean. I believe they can host frogspawn as well but there is no guarantee that he will host what you put in there.

I've always wondered why a clownfish 'hosts' an anemone (or anything else) If the fish lives in the anemone; isn't the anemone the "host"? The fish even brings the host bits of food, just like guests visiting a host at a dinner party.
And, yes, they will host about anything. I have a pair of GS maroon clowns that have been "hosting" a piece of dead skeletal blue ridge coral for almost 3 years now I once had a tomato (I like Dan Quayle, so I'll spell it tomatoe) clown host a crocea clam for several years.
