true percula

How do you tell the difference between true percula and false percula? I bought two true percula the other day and I'm not sure if they are actually true

true percs have broader black stripes than false and a few other things

SO what do I do If they sold me false percula and they claimed they were true

thats not a good thing because the true percs are much more expensive and you could of lost money

True percula when smaller look almost the same as false... however as they age thier black bands get wider and they also get black on their face.
However if they are tank raised and small they will look like the false ones... also if you purchased tank raised one then they should have been close to the same price.

count the bones on the dorsal fin i believe it is or something like that the true has 10 and the false has 11 im not too sure about that might want to check on some websites about percs or with someone who knows a bit more
