Well considering that for the last 2 years I doubt he did more than LIE in there in more ways than one. Robert Bryd to me is and was nothing more than a Racist Scumbag. You are aware he was a Grand Dragon of the KKK correct. He also refused to support Civil Rights in the 60's yet he is being called one of the best leaders for Civil Rights in Senate History. BULL CRAP Senator Dirken of IL is the reason the Civil Rights act of 1964 was passed yet the freaking Democrats refuse to allow people to know that. All they want you to know is that THEY WERE THE PARTY OF CIVIL RIGHTS. Conisdering the President that signed it in 1964 was still using the N word to describe the people it was for I highly doubt it.

I believe people can change and Byrd did. I just find the hypocrisy in the media to be amazing. They ignore Byrds past yet did you see the big deal they made of Strom Thurmond being a Dixicrat when he died? Nothing Thurmond did as a segregationist rose to the level of a mild night in the Klan. They also will go to great lengths to create a racial issue where none exists. Remember George Allen and Macahca? A word he has heard his mother use growing up thinking it meant clown which was probably the way he meant to use it but the media crucified him with it.
Of course they remain silent over the Reverend Wright and the Black Panther's voter intimidation case being dropped. Had that been a white goon in a sheet with a baseball bat at the polling place the media would have been calling for a public hanging. One of the lawyers who worked the case just quite so he could testify before a commission investigation the matter. We'll see if that makes the news.
