There is one thing I might suggest. Take the cone peice off the power head. You do not ned it on there. I had it on there and a fish got sucked up into the cone part. There should be a built in screen in the intake. My does there are just like plastic pices going across the intake.

I would keep the cone on but drill several 3/16" holes in it. This will keep anything from being sucked onto it and not being able to get off. The screen alone is still capable of getting a fish stuck on it (believe me, it's happened to me). of course some critters can still get hurt (anemones and brittle stars, etc.) with anything short of a prefilter foam attachment.
Also, what's that red rock on the base of the LR? If it's organ pipe skeleton it will be fine. If it's lava rock, get it out now! Lava rock is very high in phosphates.

I had not thought about drilling holes in the cone part. :D The screen so far has worked for me. :D I just had one get stuck in the cone part that is whay I wanted to make the suggeation, but you also have a good idea.

I'd never think about a fish getting stuck... I'll have to drill holes... no it's not a lava rock... its one of those fake rocks you can bye from a fish store... it was so big i thought id use it as a base rock..

the fish will be in soon still adding my sump then i'm gonna make sure that doesn't start another cycle before i add anything that i'll regret later
