I finally have a bit of a better picture. We are going to try and get it out of the tank this week. I couldn't really get a picture of his claws...
Any ideas?
Thanks again!

Thanks everyone... we're going to try and get him out this week... I've been wishy washy on whether I wanted to keep him in the tank... but he's eating snails so fast it's starting to look like I have crushed coral instead of a sand bed under that rock ;-)
I'll take a better picture if we can get him out. I do have a 5 gallon that I may just set up for him...

I think it's a rock crab as well. This older couple I know had one in there tank and never knew. Their fish just kept disappearing and one night they seen him. They can be killers. I'd definately get him out. I think the 5g tank thing would be a good idea he's pretty cool lookin.

I would like to keep him... but I'm not sure I would be able to give him a good enough life since I only have a tiny tank (not sure, maybe 3 gallon) to put him in... I'll take better pictures once I get him out of the tank, but here he is in the glass jar. My neighbors want him for their 10 gallon.
