I am a total newbie who has been reading as much as possible....
I got a LFS that is helpfull but want some 3rd party advise. I dont know exactly what i want in the tank. He has a good selection but there are so many more fish out there.
I have a 180 gal saltwater setup... Nice large main piece that gives lots of hiding room, and 2 smaller pices. Its finaly cycled and i need to add fish.
I want for sure..
Clown fish-
Angle fish-
Sucker fish-
Fire Shrmip-
Butterfly fish-
I love the colors and want to do it right. How many of each should be put, pairs? What should i start with, and how long do i wait till i add another species....
Thanks ahead of time...

This going to be fish only? Or do you want coral? Some fish aren't to be trusted with corals. I suggest buying Marine Fishes by Scott Michael. This is a great book to learn some basics about the common saltwater aquarium fish.
What's a sucker fish?

I would also definitely recommend picking up a book as well. The Conscientous Marine Aquarist by Robert Fenner is one of the best out there. As for your questions, you could add a pair of angelfish to the tank, and possibly a pair of fire shrimp as well, but that is it. Definitely no pair of angels, and it depends on what kind of butterflies you were looking to do. For instance, if you were looking at say a heniochus butterfly for example, I would recommend 3 to 5 butterflies, but many others do not need to be in a school.
None of us know what you mean by suckerfish either. I am hoping that you do not mean a remora shark. You are probably referring to some type of blenny, like a lawn mower blenny, in which case, you can't add more than one.

i dont know what type of angel your looking for but coral beauty dwarf angels are pretty cool. pretty easy to maintain and real peaceful. i have a dot dash butterfly thats real sweet and easy to maintain but if your looking for a more colorful one i don't know. also if you ever get a suckerfish let me know i want one.
