Tumbling Cheato

I have read that the Cheato needs to tumble. What if it doesn't? I have my cheato in a sump that has miracle mud in it and it holds about 1 1/2 gallons of water. There is good water movement in the sump from water I am pumping in from my protein skimmer sump. Algae is growning on the top of my cheato and it is not tumbling. Any suggestions or am I ok. Thanks

IME chaeto doesn't need to tumble, I only have about 100gph of water movement through my fuge and my chaeto grows just fine, I can fill a gallon freezer bag with new chaeto growth every month and my nitrates and phosphates are zero.
I would say if it is keeping your nitrates under control there is no need to do something different, "If it ain't broke don't fix it".
