Eco-energetic
The innovative motor based on the eco-energetic concept and newly developed pump technology ensures a very high efficiency with very low maintenance and power consumption.
Very silent run
Special plastic bearings, a titanium-alloy axle and silicone absorbers enable a very silent run without wear which applies for smaller models as well as for the powerful pump delivering 30,000 l/h. (7,925 USgal./h). Large suction area
The water which is drawn in passes through a giant intake strainer, and thus prevents premature clogging.
Vortech MP60wES

The Vortech MP60 water pump is the EcoTech Marine’s most significant product announcement since the VorTech MP10. After years of serving the mid and high range of aquarium water pumps, the Vortech MP60 delivers a mind busting 5500 GPH while holding itself up on tanks with glass up to 1.25? thick. The diameter of the motor assembly and wetside begin at 4? but taper down to 3?; although the flow rate is much more than a Vortech MP40, the Vortech MP60 is only slightly larger in physical dimensions. EcoTech Marine has not yet showed off this pump since the MACNA show floor is not yet open, but be sure to follow the break for full press release, as well as our first hands on of the beta Vortech MP60 that we’ve been testing out this past week.
Flow: 2,500 – 5,500 GPH
Wattage: 10 – 60 watts
Maximum Tank Thickness: 1.25? (range 3/8? – 1.25?)
Appropriate Tank Size Range: 120 to 1000+ gallons

Tunze 6305.... Reputation, reliability.... Vortech has had several issues, and their customer service isn't near Tunze.... Also the thickness of panels Vortech can handle, they had issues of them coming apart, noise; vibration. Plus the mere fact of a thread I read about the use on acrylic tank and damage to the tank, I don't know if the ever really resolved that issue. Enough to make me stay with Tunze.

the mp60 is being worked for 7500 gph now. but in all honesty, i would rather go with two mp40w ran in sync than one mp60. the main thing vortech has on tunze is design. if you have a large tank and can hide the tunze really well, its good. but if you cant i think vortechs are pretty much the only thing that doesnt stand out like hell
