blending in isnt a good thing in a contest like this. You should want a photo where the subject/specimen just pops out and you and is the center of focus.

I have to agree with you on this one... Its hard to buy something if you cant see it. Nice pics everyone!

Seeing as how your photo is in this poll, how about you refrain from adding your opinion about the other photos until after the contest is over. In the interest of fairness.

hahaha pathetic. have you not won enough where you need to put down people's pictures when they are complimented? grow up...

I imagine he has won a poll that you were apart of? I dont believe he overstepped his bounds in any way. He was stating the truth. Blending in with the surroundings in not the best picture to use to sell something. Whatever is being sold should be the main focus of the shot, I dont understand why you would go and attack him over a simple statement like that??

Folks, this is a friendly contest. SWF is offering thousands of dollars in prices to update their webpage. Many of you have alreay been told this in other threads, but I'll say it again collectively to all of you; Leave your critiques to yourselves.
Feel free to say things like "nice photo" or "thanks for the votes". If you find yourself typing more than that on the poll threads then stop, press the backspace key as needed, and move on

beacher and elite photo were hard to choose for me. both were nice. reo's was awesome, and it looked really neat wiht the algae on it, BUT someone may wonder where it is, or they may wonder if it's gonna come iwth all sorts of weird colors or look wierd. just my thughts.

Similar comments were made prior to 1journeyman's and he responded above... People are taking some of the criticism to heart (or in the wrong way) and getting upset, I would suggest changing your post so the mods dont get upset. The contest could become biased because of comments made about the pictures.

Money unfortunately is the root of all evil. To some people money is the world. Fortunately it doesnt seem to be the case with a lot of people here including myself. im not in this to win the 20.00 credit cause to be honest im not even sure if I will use it if I end up moving to AZ in Jan. Im in it for the fun and of coarse to have some of my photos posted somewhere for the public to see.
