Turbo snail ate damsel?

I bought three green chromis and in the morning there was one missing. Is it possible that one of the turbo snails or the blue leg hermit munched on it's dead body? The only other fish in the tank (80 gal) is five blue damsels.

If it died the hermits probably ate it. It could also be hiding in any LR you might have though green damsels don't usually hide.

I would also say that the hermits are the culprits. They scavenge the bottom, so if the fish was on the bottom, they probably had a good dinner. Keep a close eye on the others.

Sorry to hear about your loss. :(
I had a lawnmower blemmie die in my tank while I was at work. I came home to the hermit crabs eating it. I pulled it out from under the LR where they were eating it. They started pulling it back under to finish eating it. They acted like it was thanksgiving. It was nasty!
The Hermit crabs ate it.
My husband said that the Hermit crabs formed a gang, and when no one was watching they took the Blemmie out. LOL He thinks he is funny.
The Blemmie was about 5 inch's long. Kinda big for the hermit crabs. The Blemmie looked a little rough for a few days before this.
Shel
