turbo snail

:notsure: :jumping: hi i have a turbo snail which seemed perfectly happy 2 days ago but today it seems to have a hard casing over the opening of the shell. it looks like a blackish grey pebble it is firm to touch, is it dead?thanks nicky

Pick it up and smell it...... if it's dead it'll stink.

no smell yet ive been told that some snails have trapdoors and can shut themselves in is this the case here?
