Turbo Snails

How many snails can you put in a 55 tank with 5 fish and an eel and anemone?

turbo snails can grow quite big. i hv like 5 bigger than golf-ball sized one. i would add 1 per 10-15 gallon. they r massive algae eaters.

They do a great job as alge eaters but they can bulldozer things when they get large and they will get large

I would just add one and see how he does. They will starve if they do not have enough algae to eat. You can always add another one if one does not seem to be doing the job.

I have 1 in a 29 gal tank. I was concerned about them starving when all the algae is gone,but the guy at the lfs told me it should survive on uneaten stuff in the sand.Now sepulatian has me concerned again

Yours should be perfectly fine.
