You would think this is question should answer its self, but, I was curious if I can hook up a Turbo Twist UV filter 'backwards', meaning the flow in is the flow out and the flow out is the flow in? I have another UV filter on a smaller tank and it says it can be used either way. This one, in the instruction diagrams, shows that it should go a certain way. Now to me, as long as water is flowing through, the unit should work fine, right?
I know with the 'twisting motion' the filter might perform a little better if water is flowing in a certain direction, but if it works the other way, is there a reason not to?
On a side note, why would a company design the UV filter so the power cord comes off the top of the unit, how it is suppose to be set-up!?!?! Power should come off the bottom, easier to set up, no stress on the unit or wires, I just do not understand designers sometimes!
Thanks!
