Yes. I am using a 36 watt turbo twist on a 200 gallon tank. Seems to work wonderfully. I was looking at copepods under a microscope and noticed some dead anchor worms. My tank clears up very nicely when the uv is running. There is alot of controversy about uv's . some people claim they do nothing. I disagree. I think they are very important for controlling bacterial and algae blooms and controlling opportunistic infections in the main tanks... I bought mine used on the huge internet auction site....After all you are just going to replace the bulbs anyway from time to time. So there is probably no need to buy them new.
