Turboflotor Blue 1000 Protein Skimmer

i found this skimmer on a huge sale online. i think i might get it while its still pretty cheap. does anybody know this brand or have this skimmer. its pretty compact and would fit great in my sump to save space for other chambers.

well I dont know anybody with one (hence probably the sale) but aqua medic is a reputable brand and their original turboflotor is a classic and good performer. probably one of the first readily available good performing needle wheels on the us market. I honestly think that particular skimmer isn't popular because its kind of goofy and quirky looking and has little to do with its performance potential. I wouldn't hesitate to buy any skimmer from aquamedic at a discount price. you can bet its going to be decent if not over the top like every other aquamedic product.

I use a turboflotor 1000 on my 90G that is very heavily stocked and it works like a champ! Takes a little tuning to get it dialed in but once you do it works wonders.
Oh, and I replaced an ASM miniG with the turboflotor. This same skimmer ran my clubs 180G tank for a couple of years.

i think im gonna go for it and see how it is. its odd shape will let it fit perfectly in my sump thats tight on space. its going to be in-sump...not hang on.
