Well I am in the process of plumbing my new tank. I had an idea of taking a return from the sump and putting a valve to a hose. The Idea is to use the pressure and flow to blow the left-overs from the rocks before the water changes. This would be used to get in and around the live rock.

I did the same thing with my return pump and phosban reactor.
I just T'd off the return line to the reactor and installed a inline vale to idle down the flow.It dumps right back into my sump.It also eliminates the need for another pump/powerhead .
