This is my first post in the fish only section of this board. Mainly becouse until this weekend I only had two Perc's and they are doing very well.
Anyway I bought a beautiful Purple Tang this week end, And aclimated him for about 1 hour removing LFS water and adding my water.
When I released him into the tank he ran for cover like most new fish but when he started to come out I notice he has a twitch. About every 5 sec. he will twitch even if he is otherwise still. I the LFS he was in a small area tank mainly with corals so I didn't notice this.
Is this just an adjustment thing with him or is this a problem? Thanks

I can't tell you if its something normal but I can tell you that my lfs had a purple tang for about a month that twitched. Not that often, but it twitched. It might also be the water is too cold for it.Whats the temp?

Well I think it was nerves. Two days later and the twitching is gone. Now he just up and down the side of the tank looking to get out. I know this is just a ajustment time for him but I've never seen a fish twitch like that before.

P.S. water temp 80
