I am wanting to get an ocellaris clownfish. The thing is I cant decide if I want one or two.I wanted to start with one,but I know if I wanted a pair they would have to be added at the same time. I like how a pair acts together, but I have a 20 gallon tank and only want 3 fish.I already have a royal gramma. So its either two clowns,or one clown and one other fish. What are your opinions?
EDIT: sorry about this I meant to post is in the anemones and clowns section.

Personally, I love my pair of clowns. They are fun to watch interacting with eachother. I'm hoping one day they will mate. I see though where you would be stuck since you are only able to have 3 fish. I added my pair at the same time so that they were together from day one.

I too like 2 anemone fish together. Although its not needed when I only had one, all it did other than sleep was pace the tank back and forth. When I added my second, they interacted with eachother and had more movement in the tank.

I had my first for about 2 months and then added the second. Yes they go at it and yes it can be dangerous, observation is key. Typically if you add one later it should be smaller than the already established one. This will help curb aggression as the larger one will display dominance and being new and smaller the new addition should submit quickly. However, its not always what happens, occasionally the small one will now submit right away (my case) and can get beat up pretty bad. Or even if it does the larger one may not care and continue to harass it. This could mean that you have 2 females or that the larger one just doesnt like the smaller one.
My new guy got beat on quite a bit because he wouldnt submit to the larger. After about 2 days he finally realized he wasnt going to convience the larger one to stop until he submitted. So, he did, but he did get torn up a bit and is now recovering. HTH.. and good luck.
