Two fuzzies in same tank???

Just curious about your opinions on this. I have one fuzzy in my 60g now, and I just found another for sale yesterday in the area (which is rare, considering I live in Alaska). I thought I read something on here about not putting two fuzzies together in the same tank, but I'm not sure if it was because of the species or just not to put two males together. Any input?
Also, I'm confused on trying to --- these fuzzy dwarfs. I've read where it says 4-6 stripes is a female and 6-10 is a male...well, wouldn't you know, mine has exactly 6 stripes. Any other ways of telling?

OK thanks, I finally figured out what i was doing wrong...I'm an idiot. I thought I was supposed to count the number of striped on the BODY instead of the fins. Turns out I have a red female, and just picked up a brown male! I'll get some pics up soon.

I'm sure now, I've got a male and a female. They seem to be getting along great, although I haven't been able to get the new one to eat yet. Getting a little anxious for him to eat, but I know sometimes it takes time. Other that that, he's doing good...very active, good color, clear eyes, no signs of ich..

Great to hear, I am glad everything worked out OK for you, once it sees the other eating it may go for it....... My Male yellow fuzzy would not even accept a female in the tank, I tried it one time, the male came over and started fighting, I removed her fast but she still had torn fins...

Hmm...maybe it's good that the female is bigger and was there first? They sit together on the same rock, no signs of aggression whatsoever (yet).
