Two Quick lighting Q's

1. How often should I change VHO bulbs run on an electronic ballast?
2. What are some opinions on adding a 150w HQI over my tank. Too much?

URI VHO bulbs on an electronic ballast should be changed every 9-12 months. I would say that putting a 150W MH would depend on what you are trying to keep in the tank. If you are after super colored SPS and clams, then sure...add the MH, but be careful with temperature. That small of a tank will get hot fast.

No, i dont really need the super colored sps and clams etc, but what i have in there now is just surviving, but not thriving (except for the pocillopra and pachyseris). I was toying with the idea, but the heat stopped me. I think that i will save the halides for a bigger tank.
