Just wondering what type (brand) of overflow does everyone here use? I have a CPR and I am getting sick of it. It needs a powerhead to keep the flow going and as the powerhead airline gets algea growing in it the siphon gets weaker and weaker until your tank water ends uo on the floor. Just wondering if anyone uses somthing better than this CPR or if you know of any better ways to keep the siphon going.

It doesn't require a powerhead to keep going. To keep mine going I attach the airline tube to the

...i suck on it until the syphon starts...then I bung up the hole in the tube with one of those T-Valves for closing and opening the flow on airline tubing...this works like a charm for me.

another vote for Life Reef. They don't lose siphon during a power loss and are well made. They may cost a little more but there is a reason for that as you get what you pay for.

I also vote Lifereef....works like a beast and never has lost syphon...I also turn my return pump off when I feed and it always goes right back to work. I use two of the 700 GPH slimeline models....next system will have built in overflows but for now the lifereefs work great.
