all around it was a good fight card, if anyone put money on tito, sorry you lost your money (big time), i was impressed with most of the fights, they were good, except when Forrest lost like he was some ones little sister. the most exciting thing of the night was when it was official that cro cop was coming to the ufc, for those who dont know who cro cop is, he's a world class MMA fighter out of pride and k1 fighting, there not a person in the ufc that should not be afraid, cro cop will knock them out.

I was upset to see Forrest lose his fight, he was pretty upset as well losing in front of his hometown. He didnt show good sportsman ship. Tito is an example of being a good loser, after all the crap he talked and wasnt able to back it up he blamed himself and apologized.... This is why Lidell and Ortiz are my favorite fighters. I lost a little respect for Forrest the way he handeled his loss.... Still like the kid though he is gonna be something great.
I was happy to see Orlovski win, he dominated.
The other fights I didnt have much interest in.
Im ready to see Lidell beat Jacksons ass now. Did anybody see that asian girl role her eyes when Lidell said he was ready for Jackson. Kind of irritated me.
What was up with Silvas fur coat.... that was about the most ridiculous looking thing I have ever seen.
Ortiz made a hug mistake not taking the Vaseline on his face before the fight. I dont know what his strategy was their but Im happy Lidell won.
Doesnt look like Ortiz will ever get his title back as long as Lidell is holding it.
Everybody was hyping Ortiz and saying ohhhhhh hes one 5 of his last 5 fights....
Come on now He beat a old Shamrock..... and beat Forrest by decision (really Forrest shouldve won that fight) He did he beat that was really that credible?
I like Ortiz but I think they over hyped him , and he over hyped himself.... like he said I fought that fight as well as I could have possibly fought it and he beat my ass.

I give Tito alot of credit for how he fought and handled the loss. I thought it was a bad stoppage. Tito was defending himself and was taking all of the punches of the arm. Where was Big John Mccarthy? I didn't think Tito had a legitimate shot to win but he did win the second round.
Then there was more bad refereeing when Arlovski cheated his way to victory over Marcio Cruz. First he kicked Cruz in the head when he was on the mat. Then as soon as the Herb Dean said "go" to restart the fight Arlovski had a big right hand timed perfectly with Dean's restart. Which is not against the rules but a little bush league in my opinion. After that Arlovski grabbed onto the fence and used it for leverage to stand up out of the leg lock and continued to hold onto the fence while he dropped bombs on Cruz knocking him out for the cheesiest win I have ever seen.

I agree with the Tito comment but he didnt seem to complain and even though he was taking most of those shots in the arm , it was clear that he was getting rocked. He wasnt trying to remove himself from the situation. He was just covering up and half of the shots got through his arms and reached his face, leaving the ref with no choice , he didnt put out the effort to get out like in the first round. Really the fight should have been called in the first round when they were clean shots to the head.
At the same time I beleive Forrests fight was called prematurely, especially with his rep. He needs an ass whippin to get going. And once he gets it he is good to the end.
As far as Orlovski goes I agree with you on the kick to the face , hard to tell if it was intentional though and I didnt think to rewind it.
But once the ref says go you have to be ready and Orlovski was, you cant blame the guy, I wouldnt have sat and waited for the first punch to be thrown. Game on means game on, be ready for anything. I wouldnt call it busch league but more so smart heads up fighting. If you want to get technical the UFC is basically as Busch league as it gets all around.
You wouldnt blame Lidell for movin in on a dazed Ortiz in there first match up , its all a part of the sport , Ultimate Fighting.
JMO ... good PPV though, I was satisfied.

I thought this was a great card also. I was shocked how Forrest handled his defeat as well. He made himself look foolish. Tito, on the other hand accepted his loss so well which makes me like him more. I was a little disappointed initally in the decision to stop the fight but the reality is that is was just a matter of time. Great fight though.
The absolute best part of the night was the announcement that Mirko Cro Cop is coming over to fight in the UFC. He has a signiture left high kick to the head that he uses to knock out his opponents and he has plenty of setups for it!!!!

heres the thing when you go for a streight leg ankle lock, to prevent your oponet from leaning up you place your foot on your oponets sholder, well in this case the should was missed and the head was hit, and the the result was it looked like a head shot. cruiz did get the short end of that stick. as far as tito getting a short stoppage, i disagree just because the shots that were getting through were landing on the back of the head, thats were your most likly to get brain dammage, its not like he was getting hit by an average striker, he was getting hit by the ice man.
