Can anyone tell me what this Unidentified growing object is and do i want to keep it, is it a Feather duster like the one on the right

Aiptiasia(sp)
an undesirable anem.
Quite a pest...spread real fast and sting things around them...Check into getting some Joe's Juice and nuking it..

lol my name is Joe and i do drink a little but im sure not the same stuff where can i get it and do i treat the whole tank

You might be able it pick it up at you LFS, or you could try Boiling water, or lemon juice...Suck the stuff up in a syringe and try and jab it into the mouth and squirt away it should turn brown and fall off the rock..

Thanks I will take the piece of live rock out place it in a pail of tank water to keep it alive and try to give the Aiptiasia(sp) a drink it cant refuse

What I have done in the past...
If you can take the rock out (looks like you can)
I would take a pair of Needle Nose Pliers and dig every bit of it off and out of the rock..then rinse it with some clean SW and back in the tank it goes...Worked for me the 2 times I have done it...
