Does anyone else have a goby that likes to try to jump out at night?

Be careful with eggcrate. I have eggcrate on my tank, 12 inch squares. My Diamond Goby decided to go for a carpet ride sometime yesterday while I was at work. I can't figure out how he got out. He had to be as wide as the squares!

it's a hi-fin goby but he only jumps when i turn the light off and he is not in his burrow.
