All my pumps were off ALL NIGHT last night. I turned them back on this morning and did a 10 gal water change. Everyone BUT the cleaner shrimp seem to be fine.
Cleaner Shrimp looked dead... lying on its back... but I picked it up and he was still alive. Moved him to a hospital tank w/ a small piece of LR for him to hang on to.
He has been in there for six hours now. No improvement, but not dead. If he is moved... he lands on his back (weak?). If I place him on the rock he will hang on and make some movement.
No obvious injuries. Is it possible for this shrimp to survive?

One night of the pumps off? Sounds a bit severe, if you ask me. I doubt the shrimp will survive, as crustacians generally have two states: Healthy, and Deathly Ill. Still kind of wondering why it is so sick after just one night of the pumps being off.

I have done that twice <img src="graemlins//silly.gif" border="0" alt="[silly]" /> . I shut them off when I feed. Fortnutaly I have the overflow to mix the water around. I noticed no long term affect though.
I have no shrimp though. I do have 4 starfish.
