have a 180 think i made a big mistake because i currently have 1 fish blue damsel, went to the L F S and fell in love with a undiluted trigger. I hear they are very aggressive i bought him because they sold him to me for $15 i asked them y so cheap
but ,they said we had him for 3 months now.I should of stop my self in my tracks but he was wonderful he's 1 1/2 inch he's in my tank now he has not bothered my damsel
but my worry is that since he's like my real first fish will i have a problem if i add more fish.i have lots of rock work he should have enough swimming room. Any one with experience thanks.

Having other fish with an Undulated trigger isn't exactly unheard of, but it's highly recommended to keep them by themselves. They are probably the closest fish to an "axe-murder" in the hobby. A 180gal is a pretty big tank for just one Undulated (or with a couple damsels that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if they started being picked off).
I would say to pretty much go a different route with stocking, i.e. return the Undulated, assuming you don't want to setup another 90gal for just him..

wow that is the best advice u have for me, he's to fast to catch, anyone else, sorry aqua knight but it just i feel like a kid with a new toy. they have to be someone here who's had success with one . He is very small if i add fish bigger than him he should be o k he cool he's all over the place he doesn't mess with my hermits ether. I just might have the good guy of the bunch and if i keep him well fed i think im ok

AK is giving you top notch advice. Here is a link from wet web media to back up his advice.

Unfortunately it appears you have picked one of the most murderous fish in the hobby. Looks like you may be able to get some of the more aggressive of the damsels and put them in but it also sounds like eventually they will get picked off also. Sorry but this is another example of why people say do you homework on the fish you want before getting them so you know in advance what you are getting into. Cool looking fish though!

I'm afraid it's true. I had an undulated trigger and these fish can not be kept with others once established, especially if you add another fish after the Undulated. In my opinion it's the most agressive fish you can keep. I tried to add a Lunar wrasse to mine and the undulated pretty much ripped it apart. Then I gave the undulated to a friend locally... he was able to keep it in his 180gal for a few months, then he told me all of a sudden it snapped and started attacking all his other fish, including a large eel. So he had to give it to someone else. Listen to Aqua, take it back to the store, it'll make your life easier in the long run.

The friend I gave the undulated to said he caught it with a barbless fishing hook.
Another thing to try is to put a large piece of raw shrimp on a algae clip and while it's munchng on it, net it really fast.

Thanks R CREATIONS i tried the feed and catch trick already it doesn't work im just going to try a fish trap or just might go fishing like your friend did. Did the fish kill the fish in your friends tank one after another or when ever it was bored, did it really killed the ell to, man thats what made me get rid of him once u told me that.

The undulated just snapped all of a sudden and started attacking all the fish. Took a chunk out of the ell, but I think he was able to take it out before it did any actual killing. He was lucky he was home when this happened.

My friend has a undulated trigger and she keeps her tank stocked with cheap damsel that she gets for 2 dollars each since she buys them 25 at a time. If the trigger takes out a few she does not mind. Plus, the damsel give the tank beautiful colour and the tigger does not bother her corals. The only fish you can probably risk are the poisonous fish. I would not suggest a lionfish since they are easily picked on. You might want to look into puffers or frog fish. The problem with both of these fish is that when they die they release toxins into the water that can literally whip out your whole tank.
