I came across an article about the subject of using leds in our hobby so I thought I would share it. It reflects much of what has been learned about the technology over the last X amount of years and what has come to be widely accepted knowledge among some. It's an updated version of an old article.

I thought so. Was hoping that it would shed some light on the subject for a few folks out there. That is if you can get through some of the technical mumbo jumbo.
The technology has come so far but the general understanding of the differences in products by most of the public is still very far behind the cutting edge.
