Can I keep one of these in my 54 gal tank? The websites that sell them say a minimun of 50 gal is required for this species. It will be the only inhabitant of the tank.

I have a small one in a 45 and it could use a larger tank soon. I'm going to get rid of it when my LFS gets some room. It looks like he could use a bigger tank.

It will survive. It will not thrive. In a tank that size, it will be resigned to pacing back and forth or resting much of the time. Larger tanks allow them to display a full range of movement and behavior.
Are there any good triggers for this tank? A Niger maybe?
