not the best of pics but the creature in the middle has been on the rock since the day i bought it started with just the one that was small and now it has grown to the large size over the last 2 months and i have also noticed at least 8 more growing all over the rock it seems to catch things with its "arms" and bring them to the middle of the body it is sort of a light brown almost clear with a few white bands around the arms almost like growth rings anyone know what this may be.

I assume they are a wanted addition to the tank they seem to be spreading over the rock with ease
That my friend is the problem. If left unchecked (read killed, annihilated, zapped into the unknown reaches of the universe, nuked) the will as you have seen quickly take over your tank. They have an incredibly potent sting and are not to be trusted.

I think im going to pick a few peppermint shrimp today and see if they do the trick before they get out of hand I wouldnt mind one or two but they are up to about 10 or so now I dont have coral that im worried about I only have one piece of hammer coral in there and it seems to be doing fine I did notice one of the aiptasia growing around the base of the coral so I assume it needs to be dealt with asap
