It can take a few days.. make sure they are getting some flow over them not too much. Also make sure they are not getting a ton of light at first. After they have been open for a day or 2 you can start moving them higher int he tank if you would like.
This works for me and i have never lost a zoa or paly

no that shouldnt make any difference. they most likey wont open until there is light. If the lights are off for the night that is fine just wait till morning. zoas are tough! no worries

whats that?
dont worry about it just yet. give them 3 days, and if they show no signs of opening, you should do an iodine dip.
get some lugol's iodine, and follow the dipping instructions on the bottle. i usually do 30 drops in 1 gallon of tank water for 4 mins (no more than 5 or they will die), then rinse them under your tap water fow a few secs.

this is usually not good. I would at this point run to the LFS and get a bottle of iodine($5-$7). Do a dip per the instruction and maybe try a different spot in the tank with a different flow/light intensity.
