Unsafe Snails?

Is it possible for unwanted hitchhikers or potential disease to come from purchasing snails from a place like *****? I want to grab some Cerith Snails to work on a Cyano problem I have, but don't want to risk anything since I don't have a QT. Would a freshwater dip be ok for the snail and kill any potential problems?
thanks.

almost positive that they dont eat cyno! but they do eat extra nutriants that can cause cyano. and i wouldnt suggest trying a freshwater dip for snails...

Do the snails really eat Cyano? If they do let me know. I need a few
Florida Cerith snails range in size from an inch to 2''. These snails will consume diatoms, detritus, cyano and algae in the substrate as well as on rocks, and glass in your aquarium.
