Unsure of base rock origin?

Would anyone know how to test for bad stuff in some dead coral/base rock? Can you put them in some salt water and just run a Copper test etc. on them? :notsure: What other thing should you test for? THis isn't a large amount of rock, but it seems a waste not to use it if it can be tested.

Well you could stick it in some saltwater for a week with heater and power head and then test it for everything.
My question would be where did the rock come from?
