my current tank system goes like this.
125DT/55g sump. so say about 150-160g total in the system. im currently running a ETSS reef devil deluxe (rated for 180g systems). im nicely stocked with live rock, plus good on sand bed with the DT and the fuge. the DT is decently stocked with softies and some LPS corals. i am lite on the fish now but will be adding a couple show fish in upcoming months. im looking to upgrade the skimmer.
i've been looking at skimmers rated for 250g tanks. im not looking for name brands, but is a skimmer rated for this size tank (250g) a good enough upgrade to be able to handle a couple more fish.
obviously it is over rated for my complete system, but more is better in this situation. so my question is with my total volume of water maxing out at 160g should i be looking at skimmers rated higher, or is rated at 250g enough....
this is not an equipment question, this is more of a reef based question....thank you in advance for any help......!
