Millions of micro bubbles are being produced by my Berlin skimmer. This odd occurance has just started. I cleaned out the whole filter, yet the bubbles still ocur. Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks, TT.
Hey,
Are you putting any supplements in your tank? If so, let us know which ones you use. Some of them will cause tons of bubbles in your skimmer.

The only suppliment that is being used is iodine, and Reef solution. I have been using these for a while & never had this occur. The bubbles are becoming a nuisance. I am turning the skimmer off as the bubbles are freaky (luckily I have a dsb).
I hope someone could help me here. I really would like to know where hese bubbles are comming from. Could there be air mixing in from somewhere? I cant seem to find a source.
I have a Berlin hang-on and have had the same problem. It has something to do with the air adjustments between the thing that is submersed and the fine tune air screw. I think you have it too high on the part that is in the tank. try lowering that make fine tune adjustments until the bubbles stop. The tricky part is making sure the flow is still pretty strong.
Hope this made sense, and good luck
My skimmer was making bubbles and they were getting sucked into my return pump and going right into the tank. I took some filter floss and kind of made a wall around my return pump to stop the bubbles from getting sucked into the tank. Made a big difference....
