Finally, after about two months of reading and asking questions, Reef Wannabe is up and running. 110 gal. with 180 lbs figi LR & 3 in. LS. After all the excitement of shopping, buying and setup, NOW WHAT? <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />
 
wait for your tank to cycle. what part of texas do you live in? i will probably be moving back down there when i get the money saved up. sorry a little off your subject, i was just curious.

Some members here might counsel you against having your DSB in the "danger zone" between 1 and 4 inches. There have been a few threads lately talking about this very thing.

Congrats on your new beginning into the amazing world. The best thing you can add to your tank right now is Patience and Time. Let the natural process do it's thing undisturbed and that will ensure a proper cycle and prepare your tank for some inhabitants. Watch your levels closely and get familiar with the changes in them...spikes, fall-offs etc. Once your diatom growth begins (brown slimy algae), contemplate adding some cleaner critters like hermits, snails and such.
