Here are a bunch of updated pics of my 10 gallon nano in my kitchen. For those of you who haven't seen the thread from last year, I'll post it below...

The tank, along with everything in it, is doing very well. Please ask anything you like, and I'm always happy to answer. I could write a book on this tank, so I'll spare the words and answer upon request. I have to say that I was tentative about setting up a nano. However it's been awesome. I've always tried to make the tank look larger than 10 gallons. I want to thank my local reef club WAMAS (Washington Area Marine Aquarist Society) and it's great members. I'll provide a list soon of all of the species in the tank, which is well over 50. Anyway, cheers to all you other reef addicts...
One major change I've had after looking at the old pics was that I got rid of my old squamosa and got a baby. The larger one I got from a club member and when it would close up in my nano it would displace too much water. Also, FYI, yesterday I just added the orange gorgonian frags. I hope they do well.

I realized the link to the old thread doesn't work, but you can either look for it, or do a search for kitchen nano. Anyway, here's another view...

Top view, showing my three clams and the coloration of everything. Yes this is all under 72 watts of PC, and heavy phyto feeding, along with my refugium...

Last pic for now... my frogspawn with perc... This week I am taking a saw to this to break it up, as it is starting to sting some montipora and cup coral...

Looks fantastic. A lot of beautiful corals, especially those clams!
Is there any problem with heat from appliances or chemicals in the kitchen etc.

Ryebread thanks alot... it feels nice hearing a compliment like that from you, the master of eye candy... lol
Nerdy... I have a digital temperature sensor that goes off when the temp goes above 82... and it's never gone off yet... the tank consistently runs between 79 and 82. When we cook we put up a cookie sheet between the tank and the stove, and get the fans above the stove going. No problems yet... as for chemicals... I now run 24/7 carbon, and have noticed only benefits. As I've said before, being Italian, the only side effect the tank received from being in the kitchen is excess garlic, which is a benefit!

Mr. Rogers... I was actually in Baltimore yesterday and went to the aquarium with my wife and some friends... eventually I will probably join CMAS too if I ever get more time... My older thread, titled "10 gallon kitchen nano" in reef tanks (the same section) has info on the specs. If you have questions beyond that I'll be happy to answer them...
kickster... yes I have 2 36 watters... one 10k and one actinic. It's been running like that since I set it up last summer, so about 8 or 9 months... Beyond that I feed a varied diet, along with phytoplankton, and my refugium is filled with critters.

I must say that i am vey impressed that those SPS corals and clams are doing well- most people around would laugh at the idea of growing SPS and clams under 36 watt PC bulbs-
